My bike and me screwing with it
I picked up a Suzuki Boulevard C50T and I like it very much. It's giving me joy of riding it and it's also letting me be a geek jacking with it. Had it for a week and already started taking it apart doing different things. The latest homebrew mod originated from me realizing how much of a pain in the ass it is to use the garage door opener; pull up in the driveway put it in neutral while holding the brake to dig out the opener.
I seen something online a few days ago where you could by this opener that mounts on the bike but also had another switch you would have to mount on the handlebar. I didn't really like that. So I was looking at it and thought the UK flash to pass button was useless so I decided to take a door opener and utilize the switch. Little wire, heat shrink solder and time they can piss on their $100 commercial opener.
Now I can be coming around the corner and control the garage door without taking my hands off the bars

Finally, some pictures. It is looking good.
I knew I was right when I called u a "geek"
Could u tell me how to attach a snow plow to mine? I think Friday was my last riding day for awhile. Between the rain and snow this coming week she won't be leaving the garage.

I might have to start calling you "RC Narrowback"! Maybe you should bid into Substation, and work on relays and shit.
I noticed in your garage you have a gas can right next to your water heater. I hope you have an electric heater!
I don't have the patience for small wiring, it looks good! My sodder looks like tinfoil glued on wire!
Nice work Randy!!

It's OK because there is a fire extinguisher on the other side of the water tank.
Yup I'm a nerd.
Like the title says...nerd
Well I appreciate ya'll. I never gave any thought to my hot water heater, it is gas. Just seemed like a nice spot for that 1 gallon can. Damn now I'll find another corner for it.
Did think about relay's and stuff; like to mess with them...just seems not like really a thrilling job with the excitement of picking up wire in the pouring down rain. Maybe later ?
