That would be a great pole to have a vendor come and demo the advantages of using fall restraint!
Re: hey wildleg
Ill say this! Believe it or not that would be one of the better ones in my district to do it on for a vendor........hell he might even pick that very one

I know I'll catch some flak for this, But, If ya put a 24 foot ladder up against the pole It'll get you to the secondary. You can belt in with the bucksqueeze or whatever you use above the secondary and its a clear shot to the primary! You didn't break one single rule and ya didn't even break a sweat.
I know using a ladder is kinda like cheating but where I work the poles are so conjested and rotten it takes forever to do it without breaking the safety rules.
Now if you had a nice clean pole why bother with a ladder, but seriously, how often do you get a nice clean pole backlot?

Well thankfully as of this time I can shimmy up there anyway I see fit and just trample the weak and hurdle the dead (free climb) lol! If they did mandate fall arrest I would seriously look into that method as it seems as though it would be one of the easier ways for around here! I know with all the backlots in buffalo y'all prob have it down to a science! Still won't seem right though

I have used the ladder trick for years in town, it seems to me the cable guys stomp their feet so hard there is hardly and good wood left to climb. I do know of one Contractor that because of horizontal open wire secondary’s, has special place on their daily tail board , that a buck squeeze does not have to be used if it would cause any conductors to slap together. I would keep it not known bout the ladder, or they will want you belted into it while climbing it!
