Half Million Volt Workers
Hi, everyone. I'm new here. My brother is a journeyman and I read all I can so I can actually have a conversation with him.
I wonder sometimes if you all know how important the work you do is. Least of all you make sure I have electricity for my curling iron. You also make sure that families are connected and can share pictures and memories. And most of all you keep us safe and healthy everyday. You make sure we're protected from the elements and that our government, schools and businesses can exchange and gain information and protect us against threats.
So thank you all, even for the things I take for granted. I live a life of convenience because you're willing to take a great risk. I think you're all crazy, but I admire you just the same.
So I'm going to brag a bit on my brother (or at least I think bare handing 500,000 volts is brag worthy). He was in the documentary Half Million Volt Workers and I just put it on YouTube. I put it in three sections, but this is only link to part 1.

He worked for Wilson Construction, Air2 and LAWP, so some of you may know him. I hope you like the video and it may give your family some idea of what you all do.
I probably won't post very often, but I'll be reading most of yours. Thank you all again.

WOW! I watched the whole thing. You should be very proud! I will remember your brother and his crew in my prayers at night when I ask God to watch over us "line trash!"
Thanks for sharing!
