Swiveloc Man-Hole Lids

Post  Highplains Drifter on Fri Sep 07, 2012 11:06 pm

This style man-hole lids are manufactured in Central United States and I would bet the folks that live close to the factory have no idea of this style lid. They are being installed in San Francisco and from what I hear they are working. If your system has man-holes you might show this video to your engineering department. I like the part of the controled vault explosion in this video.

That is a nice design but from a trouble perspective I don't like it; if the lid is blown off I know where the problem is tongue

It'd be cool if the could have some kind of a window in there for a fault indicator so you wouldn't have to pop the lid...as far as the unauthorized access goes; hell I think in the Dallas downtown network I've heard you can access quite a few of the buildings downtown from within...use your imagination like a heist movie Suspect
