Leaking Padmount Empty Leaking Padmount

Had a duplex padmount we came across during a switching order where it was leaking pretty good out of one of the bushings. Since duplex's are extinct a crew was called to rebuild on site. Pretty efficient operation they had and pretty simple to do. I've never seen it done before.

Here's a billion pictures to go along with it.

I can't say I have ever heard of a trans rebuild on the jobsight!

Cool Pics, although I would have tried and figured out a way to destroy that livefront to get it out of the system!

Well I agree with you on the live front; BUT (always a but) this 3 phase loop feed duplex is a nice thing to have in the area where I showed before with the transformer alamo houses. The way that area is designed it'll have a transformer house in between so you can kill the house out by isolating it with a switch.

Don't think there is too much 3 phase customers left in that area but there is still a few.

All they really did was pump the oil into a barrel and change out a few seals and gaskets and called it a day. Extremely simple, then again they also had everything there with the right tools! Think we're going to use them again soon for another leaker. I'll have to get a picture of their setup next time.

I love how you guys shudder at this "new live front" we have some truly old school live front (but very little) think of two OH pots in an enclosure and you get what I'm talking about:/

Interesting pics Randy very well done.
