Well where is this fuel prices going to stop this time? If they keep going up a lot of our summer fun time plans might have to be altered. I just feel for someone that uses 40 plus gallons a week, that will cut into their budget $ 160 a month. And I m sure groceries and freight will be raising their prices to. .

what drives me nuts is the way the futures market drives these prices up with speculitive trading. Its not demand and supply the way the economic system is supposed to opperate. Its almost as if the price is delibretly manipulated for short term profit at the expence of the working man.

The way the blend gas is getting on my nerves too! Do we really need a winter blend and a summer blend and have refineres switch their manufacturing process every six months! who the hell came up with that stupid idea.

They say we need the Keystone XL pipeline so transCanada can sell tar sands oil to foriegn markets! Lets build a refinery right on the border and refine every last drop that comes down the pipe into fuel.

I honnestly believe energy producers love it when fuel is $4.00 a gallon. and lets not forget the federal and state sales tax that bring in billions every day in revenue for the government.

It just baffles me to see fuel on the rise when the economy is staring a slow swing up. Maybe high fuel will push the sales of electric cars. I see so many people driving by them selves during rush hour and fuel is not high enough yet to slow them down. Seems like time is more important to them.

Lower income and less educated people are so much easier to control.

I totally agree!
If they want to build that pipeline down to Texas, we better be getting some type of
revenue off it!

Build the refinery first, then start the pipeline.

Ain't that the funny part... No one ever talks about building a refinery to refine the excess tar sand oil capacity. few people relize that the United States allready refines that oil in the midwest.

The problem for TransCanada is we are its only customer! thats why people in the midwest enjoy 20 to 40 cents a gallon cheaper prices than the rest of the country.
TransCanada wants to expand its market base by using the Koch brothers owned refineres in the gulf and ship that refined product to the fuel hungry markets around the globe.

A expanded pipeline to the gulf would never amount to cheaper fuel costs for Americans, only allow TransCanada to bypass the midwest refineries and enjoy a higher profit margine for their product. Funny how the Rubert Murdock controlled media left that little part out.
They only mention the part about 10,000 jobs... Lets break that one down too shall we!
!0,000 jobs to build the pipepline. Truth be told its 10,000 jobs for one year, or 5000 jobs for two years ect., Many of those jobs TransCanada employee's. Guess what happens after its built? thats right, they all get laid off, after all TransCanada only needs 50 - 100 employee's to maintain the pipeline. How many employee's get laid off at our midwest refineries because of reduced capacity.

So who makes out like bandits in the deal? Well TransCanada makes out like Bandits. The Koch brothers will reap billions in revenue. The manufactures of the Pipe... Oh,, did I mention the pipe is made in India. Cheap crappy thin walled pipe from India. Guess who gets stuck with the clean-up costs after the pipeline starts failing ten years down the road.

Funny how no-one ever mentions the nasty part...

TransCanada and the Canadian Government says " Stupid Americans, we'll just build our own pipeline to the West Coast and sell our oil to China." well good luck with that, your gonna have to cross one hell of a lot of Native Indian Land. Oh did I mention the Rockies?? Yeah them little hills are kinda in the way. Did I mention that stuff is thick and nasty and filled with microscopic silicone, yeah it kinda hard in the pipe walls. its got to be injected with condensate and heated just to get that stuff to flow
its under tremendous pressure too! when that pipe springs a leak it gets nasty quick!
Than once it reaches the Coast did they forget there is a moratorium on Super tankers in the waters off British Columbia? yeah those waters are trechorous, filled with rocky shoals that'll rip the bellies out of anything that gets out of the narrow channell. Good luck with that in the winter in a gail. Your once prinsteen waters will get a little tarnished. If that was really an option, wouldn't they have pursued it first anyway?
