Downtown mess

How much any of you mess with downtown vaults? Get to dabble a little in this part of the world.

We have vaults, but thank god all they have is terminations!

Those vaults you show look like bomb shelters..........with the bomb inside!!!

I always love the ones next to the “Greasy Spoon”, just love that feeling when the cockroaches are falling on you from the ceiling..

Kinda funny... about fifeteen years ago we had a food cart guy downtown decide a great place to dump the deep fryer was over the grate of the vault that feed the convention center and most of downtown Niagara Falls NY. He must of dumped that oil all summer long untill one day the grease was a little too hot or the rats chewed a little too deep the whole thing exploded in a fire ball. Thank god the fire didn't stay lit, would've burned for days! Took most of downtown out. Guess who had to isolate and splice that mess out. I had to throw my cloathes out after that one. I showered at work that night. Thank God I had a spare change of cloathes in my locker. Even the truck smelled like fast food after that for weeks.

We had a lineman get a staff infection in his knee from working in that type of situation where there was grease all over everything!!
It was f'n nasty. I guess it was from kneeling down it. We talked about it at a safety meeting, and decided next time our slickers would be worn!
